Role Overview:

FMO is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Community Coordinator to oversee and manage multiple initiatives (unwanat) within our organization. This leadership role requires a committed individual who can drive our mission, engage with the community, and work closely with scholars and other volunteers. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, a deep understanding of Islamic teachings, and a passion for uniting the Ummah.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Coordination:
• Lead, manage, and coordinate all FMO initiatives (unwanat) including religious education, community engagement, and awareness campaigns.
• Supervise and mentor other volunteers, ensuring that all projects align with FMO’s mission and values.
• Develop and implement strategies to engage the Muslim community in various FMO activities.
• Community Engagement:
• Build and maintain relationships with scholars, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
• Organize and facilitate events, workshops, and seminars to promote FMO’s initiatives.
• Act as the primary spokesperson for FMO, delivering speeches, and creating video content that aligns with our conflict-free approach.
• Research & Development:
• Conduct research on relevant Islamic teachings, current issues within the community, and areas where FMO can have the most impact.
• Stay updated on trends and developments in the Muslim community to guide FMO’s projects and initiatives.
• Develop educational content and resources that resonate with FMO’s goals.
• Advocacy & Outreach:
• Advocate for unity within the Muslim community by promoting FMO’s mission in public forums, social media, and community gatherings.
• Ensure that all communications and content reflect a mindset focused on unity and conflict-free engagement.
• Coordinate with the media and manage FMO’s social media presence to reach a wider audience.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in community engagement and strong connections with Islamic scholars.
• Excellent public speaking and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
• A deep understanding of Islamic teachings, with a commitment to continuous learning, particularly in Quran and Hadith.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and coordinating large-scale projects.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities within the organization.
• A mindset focused on unity within the Muslim Ummah, avoiding conflicts and promoting common goals.
• Proficient in research, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies for community outreach.
