Ammonia caramel, a type of caramel color. It is produced by the controlled heat treatment of carbohydrates (usually sugars) in the presence of ammonia. It is halal as it is typically derived from plant-based sources such as sugar or glucose syrup, and the presence of ammonia in the production process does not render it haram.

150d:

Food colour (150d) is a water-soluble caramel-brown food color. It is formed by heating sucrose and has burnt sugar like odour. The color varies from pale yellow to amber to dark brown.

500:
